Monica Howard is the Director of Environmental Permitting at Swift Current Energy. She brings with her over 20 years of experience as an environmental and regulatory professional supporting the energy industry. Monica is dedicated to ethical permitting and development in support of the energy transition.
Prior to joining Swift Current, Monica was Head of Environmental & Regulatory at Navigator CO2 Ventures where she led the team dedicated to the permitting and certificate efforts for a multistate carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) project in the Midwest. Before that, Monica held leadership positions at midstream operators establishing and leading Environmental and Regulatory departments facilitating energy infrastructure development across much of the U.S. to achieve energy independence, diversity, and stability.
Monica received her B.S. in Land Reclamation from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, has completed Leadership certificates from Cornell, and is pursuing an SEP certificate in sustainability.
