Katie Ostman serves as Chief Legal Officer at Swift Current Energy. She leads the company’s legal strategy, overseeing financing, commercial transactions, and legal matters across Swift Current’s wind, solar, and storage portfolio.
Katie joined Swift Current Energy in 2022, with broad experience as counsel for complex energy transactions throughout the United States. Katie has advised on the development, financing, acquisition, and divestiture of all types of utility-scale energy projects, including wind, solar, battery storage, and hydropower, as well as natural gas and transmission projects.
Prior to joining Swift Current Energy, Katie was a Partner in the Project Finance group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where she served as outside counsel to clients across the power and infrastructure industry at all stages of projects throughout the United States. Before joining Morgan Lewis, Katie was a project finance attorney at Bingham McCutchen LLP in Boston.
Katie received her B.A. in Government and English from Cornell University with distinction in all subjects, and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
