Chris Bray is Chief Accounting Officer at Swift Current Energy and leads accounting, treasury, and financial reporting efforts for the company. With over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, Chris has deep expertise in technical accounting, corporate finance, cash management, and financial reporting matters. He has participated in complex accounting transactions across the energy spectrum including renewable markets, non-regulated energy trading and marketing, regulated transmission and distribution, and energy services.
Prior to joining Swift Current, Chris served as Vice President of Finance and Controller for Catalyze, LLC, a clean energy company focused on commercial and industrial distributed generation. While at Catalyze, Chris was responsible for a full stack of accounting, financial reporting, and FP&A duties with full visibility to the board and sponsor equity. Prior to Catalyze, Chris was Controller at Versant Power on an interim basis preceded by work as SVP and Controller at Greenbacker Renewable Energy. Before joining Greenbacker, Chris was Assistant Controller at New Jersey Resources Corp., where he was responsible for all accounting matters in the non-regulated businesses, with a focus on the Clean Energy Ventures segment. Previously, Chris was Manager of Energy and Derivative Accounting at AvanGrid.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bentley University.
