Swift Current Energy has developed and commercialized more than 1 gigawatt (GW) of clean energy projects and has a project pipeline of more than 6 GW of clean energy projects under development.

Renewable energy sources are now a mainstream option in the power sector in nearly all parts of the world.

Renewable energy technologies are proven to be reliable and safe and often provide the lowest-cost power generation option. Our team’s extensive knowledge stems from successfully building projects across the clean energy spectrum. Our cross-technology experience and proven track record of successful project execution allows us to continue to develop and construct best-in-class renewable energy projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Featured Projects Under Development

Projects Commercialized

Below is a snapshot of three of our projects currently under development in Maine, Illinois, and Kentucky. While each of these projects is inherently unique, they share one thing in common: they are strategically advantaged in terms of economies of scale and are well positioned to deliver low-cost clean energy to meet market demands.

Three Rivers Solar Project

Building on our team’s extensive experience in Maine, we strategically developed the Three Rivers Solar Project which will be the largest utility-scale solar project constructed in New England when it goes online in 2023. The project was awarded a Power Purchase Agreement by Versant Power (formerly Emera-Maine) for its entire output of 100 MW.  Once operational, the Three Rivers Solar Project will generate clean, renewable energy for consumers across Maine and New England.

Double Black Diamond Solar Project

Also under development is our Double Black Diamond Solar Project, which has the potential to power more than 85,000 homes in Illinois and generate significant, stable long-term tax revenue for its host communities. By implementing best-in-class pollinator-friendly development, construction and operational protocols, the Double Black Diamond Solar Project will also enhance the farms and communities that surround it for decades to come.

Saddlebred Solar Project

Our Saddlebred Solar Project under development in Clark County, Kentucky represents a groundbreaking development opportunity for Kentucky’s burgeoning solar economy. Kentucky is part of the PJM interconnection territory, which allows for renewable energy projects to tap into a leading electricity market while spurring new investment that can help rural economies  grow and prosper in the 21st Century.
