Shane Benoit is the Manager of Technical Accounting, at Swift Current Energy. Shane focuses on technical accounting, company accounting policies, research, and financial reporting matters across the Company.
Prior to joining Swift Current Energy, Shane worked at Deloitte for over four years within their External Audit and Advisory practice, where he worked primarily within the renewables sector. He has experience with technical accounting policies related tax equity partnerships, business combinations, environmental attributes, tax credits, construction, and internal controls. Shane has experience with both AICPA private and PCAOB public audit engagements and has performed services under GAAP and GASB standards.
Shane holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from Lamar University. Shane is also a Certified Public Accountant.
