John Miele serves as the EVP of Finance and Accounting at Swift Current Energy, bringing over 25 years of experience in the energy industry. He oversees the accounting team and has extensive experience in public and private company reporting, technical accounting, planning, and operations.
Prior to joining Swift, John was the VP, Global Controller at Onapsis Inc., a cybersecurity company, where he was responsible for leading all aspects of the firm’s global accounting function, overseeing financial reporting, treasury, and tax planning activities. Before that, John spent almost 14 years at Atlantic Power Corporation, an independent power producer, where he was most recently the SVP, Corporate Controller. Prior to joining Atlantic, John was an Audit and Assurance Manager at PwC, working in the Commercial and Industrial Products and Services group with a base of energy, construction, and manufacturing clients.
John has an MBA and an MS in Accounting from Northeastern University and received his BA in American Studies from Brandeis University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
