John serves as Senior Manager of Performance Engineering at Swift Current Energy. John leads analysis activities for our operational assets to optimize their performance and energy generation.
Prior to joining Swift, John was most recently a Global Lead for the Solar Operational Asset Advisory team at UL Solutions. In this role, he led a team focused on analyzing the performance and future outlook of operational PV solar plants and provided guidance to owners, asset managers, and operators. Before that, John co-founded Clear Sky Analytics, an automated analysis software for solar asset performance that distills and interprets data from operating PV plants, offering prescriptive insights to assess value and optimize returns. Clear Sky Analytics was later acquired by UL.
John received his bachelor’s degree in physics at Harvard College and his PhD in physics from the University of California, Berkeley.
