Dennis McAlister is Senior Manager of Pre-Construction at Swift Current Energy. Dennis brings over a decade of experience in renewable energy development, construction, and environmental compliance, with a strong specialization in utility-scale solar and battery energy storage preconstruction. At Swift Current, he supports the transition of projects from development through preconstruction, procurement, and contracting, ensuring seamless turnover to the execution team.
Prior to joining Swift Current, Dennis was Senior Manager of Preconstruction at Sol Systems, where he led EPC RFP processes, contract negotiations, and constructability analyses for a portfolio of utility-scale and distributed generation solar + BESS projects. Before that, he was a Project Leader at Dominion Energy, managing preconstruction activities and stakeholder integration for large-scale solar facilities. Earlier in his career, Dennis held environmental and compliance roles at Mortenson and AECOM, supporting some of the largest renewable projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind and Spotsylvania Solar project.
Dennis holds a B.S. in Ocean and Earth Science with a concentration in Geology from Old Dominion University.
