Aimee Leatherman serves as Director of Development at Swift Current Energy. Aimee has been developing utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects for leading global power producers for the past two decades, with expertise in every stage of the development life cycle throughout several North American energy markets. Her career began in 2004 with Invenergy, LLC as a Development Manager of greenfield wind and solar projects in the west. In 2009, Aimee joined E.ON Climate & Renewables continuing greenfield and mid-stage project development throughout the Pacific Northwest and Colorado. In 2013, she expanded her expertise to strategic market development and legislative affairs working with RES Americas for five years. Aimee then spent three years at Scout Clean Energy developing a complex wind repower and co-located energy storage project in California. Prior to joining the Swift Current team in May 2026, Aimee spent four years with Cordelio Power as a lead project developer, and advanced mid-stage wind and solar projects to commercial operation.
